Synerfac Technical Staffing is Hiring a Blending Manager Near Hendersonville, NC
Our client is located in Western North Carolina and they're looking for a Blending Manager. The Blending Manager will be responsible for managing the entire blending process operation, including staffing and training, productivity, people development, quality, and safety. This position is also responsible for the Food Safety and Food Quality programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the blending department including the following: basic production scheduling, work assignments, employee supervision, counseling, employee safety, and administration of company policies and procedures
- Ensure quality of the product produced as it pertains to blending juice to correct spec following processing guides
- Determine correct blend of juice using incoming specs in QAD and blending them to correct spec levels while maintaining lot rotations
- Review daily batches, ingredient usage, lot choice, downtime related to blending, and staging of ingredients. Reviews formula recovery and proper rotation of ingredients
- Perform area walk-thru and communicates findings to the department supervisors in the area
- Conduct monthly safety meetings; eliminates potential safety hazards; follows up on safety issues related to the department and coaches employees on safe behavior
- Prepare written performance evaluations and counsels" employees as needed
- Bachelor's degree is Engineering or Business Management
- 5 years of previous experience in Food/Beverage Manufacturing environment
- 3 years of Leadership experience, managing a team
- Verbal and communication skills
- Time management skills
